On 12 March 2020, a concert by the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Sir Simon Rattle was performed without an audience due to the Corona crisis and broadcast in the Digital Concert Hall. General manager Andrea Zietzschmann and Sir Simon made short statements about the unusual event and the programme.
